Cap up to 7 cm., orange brown to cinnamon, scurfy, umbo, thin yellowish flesh. Gills attached, broad, brownish yellow to orange brown in age. Yellow cobwebby partial veil. Stem up to 70 mm. × 18 mm., brownish yellow, paler at apex, scurfy, equal to tapering at base. KOH on cap burgundy red. Rusty brown spore deposit. On mossy ground in mixed woods.
