Notes: Under oaks (road side) in a mixed forest with oaks and pines, shadow place. Pores cream to pale yellow. Flesh pale yellow, unchanging, on cap (after all it blued the next day). Pores and tubes blueing, but not the flesh of the cap. Flesh on stipe bright yellow, blueing when exposed to air. Similar to X.ferrugineus, X.submentosus and X.chrysonemus, except on the blueing feature. Smell not distinctive.
