Observation 143135: Amanita atkinsoniana Coker

Notes: Whitish cap, up to 78 mm. in diameter and 10 mm. thick above stipe, brownish warts. Crowded cream colored gills. Stipe is whitish, up to 105 mm. × 18 mm. excluding the bulb and covered in brownish floccose material. The annulus is skirt-like, cream color with brown remnants of universal veil on the underside. The bulb is 65 mm. long x 40 mm. wide. and covered with brown warts. On mossy ground under beech and balsam fir in mixed woods.
