Notes: Large polypore that was mostly white, smooth, with a bit of a peach coloring on top, and yellow on the pore surface.
When I broke off a piece I saw a bit a of clear yellow fluid on the white inner flesh. Specimen was found around mostly broadleaf trees on a log in quite a cluster.
No apparent bruising at first.. but didn’t take a sample home to really check. The odor was quite fungal. Kinda appetizing.
The flesh felt a bit spongey, not too tough, and rather dry.
