Notes: Cap up to 30 mm., rose red, yellow margin (possible remnants at margin), thick yellow flesh. Red pink pores, large, irregular, bruising blackish. Stem 30 mm. × 4-6 mm., color of cap, broader at base, yellow flesh bruising reddish. Odor and taste mild. Pore surface black with KOH—negative on cap. Brownish spore deposit.
