Notes: Small summer fruiting of white chanterelle- beneath Evergreen huckleberry, salal, Oregon grape(as we usually find them) with Douglas fir, Western red cedar and Western hemlock trees above.
Yellow staining where handled.
Temp: mid 70’s, dry.
We used to sell lbs. of these when living in the Olympia, WA area West of the Cascades to local restaurants- this is the first time I have encountered them in a montane habitat. However, the symbiotic indicator plants are all identical- mainly Evergreen huckleberry and Oregon grape.
Temp: mid 70’s.
