This material has been recieved and accessioned into Rod’s herbarium. We have scheduled it for DNA sequencing.

Thanks, Bob.

I can dry these tonight. Tomorrow I,ll find some fresher material and take some better pix. I’m planning on being in southwest NM, southeast AZ for the next two weeks and will keep an eye out for things Amanita.

Seems to have really intense colors.

I gather that you don’t have dried material. Is that correct?

If you should find material of sect. Caesareae and have the time to preserve it, I’d be very interested in a part of such a collection.

I’m part of a nearly decade long study of that section that is doing a lot of DNA work on the Caesareae. I find it very fascinating, and as a side effect it tests the species concepts that we operate with.

If you do collect and preserve material in the Caesareae, we can sample it here in NJ and get it into the sequencing process.

Very best,
