Observation 143573: Agaricus L.
When: 2013-08-22

Notes: KOH bright yellow on context and cut stipe, fading to orange. Has gills. Found in mixed hardwood forest. Smells a bit odd. Had tiny flies all over it.

It does look like a sequestrate Agaricus or similar fungus.

I think we’ll need microscopy on this one – doesn’t ring any bells for me.

The veil over the gills is very thick.
