Notes: Found in duff near stream among maples and tulip poplars. No detectable smell, taste slightly acrid. Perhaps Sarcodon versipellis from looking at http://www.mycoquebec.org/... and http://www.svims.ca/council/Sarcod.htm ?

Are aware of any genetic studies done on the repandum group? I haven’t looked for any, but it seems like a mess…

Spore print came out white. Guess that rules out Sarcodon.

Forgot to mention cap diameter is 7 inches. Wouldn’t this be unusually large for H. repandum?
