Notes: in soil and leaf litter under Quercus grisea. Width of cap: 38mm, overall height: 95mm, width of stipe just below cap: 10mm. Some rusty coloration on the UV.

This material has been recieved and accessioned into Rod’s herbarium. Rod plans to do a further workup on this guy.

With oak and without aspen or poplar or cottonwood?

Without aspen, poplar, or cottonwood this can’t be A. populiphila (which would probably have orangish stains on the fruiting body somwhere. As always, I’d be very interested to see this.
