There is this Laccaria that grows up there in Mendocino that I’ve seen for years, and I called this one L. laccata, until it was pointed out to me that L. laccata has pink gills, and this one has white to off-white gills. So, it isn’t L. laccata, although we keep calling it that. I keep meaning to look up what this really is, if you get it down, let me know…
