Rod Tulloss, thanks for taking time to look at my observation and commenting. Interesting so see an Amanita connected with the Chiricahua Mountains – my old stomping grounds when I lived in Arizona. But was not looking at fungi then – just plants.

A. ameripanthera or the species known from New Mexico and Arizona as “A. sp-AZ07.”



…or something else pantherinoid.
