Gill edge 400×. There are very few cheilocystidia on the gill edge, but lots of brown broom cells.

Gill edge 400x crush mount. The broom cells on the gill edge look different than the broom cells in the pileipellis – They tines of the broom are tighter, making them look less broom-like.
