Found growing in mass on a log where Honey mushrooms Armillaria sp once abound.This area was enoculated in 2010. Now this long is cover in Entoloma abortivum.
The Abortted Honey mushrooms is white roughend folded inward in a slght balloon shape.
the fruiting bodies of the Enoloma are brown tan smooth convexed 3 to 8 cm. some of the caps are stained with solmon color spore deposites from the other fungi around it.
Gills tan becoming solmon colored in age attached to the stem
Stalk 4 cm to 8 cm 2 cm think white with spore stain in older specimens
spores irregular shaped
spore print salmon.
