Up to 7 cm. across and 3 cm. high, surface yellow tan with scales of same color. Flesh gray. On ground under oak by the side of gravel road.

S. citrinum has pyrimidal warts on top of individual platelets. Notice the sides which “stick out” up to 2mm from the surface of the peridium.
