Notes: Plant pathogen: shape reminiscent of asco, reddish when young becoming brown, circling small branches at top and on lower branches of recently planted oak tree.

My neighbor is now chillin’, having imagined the worst, that this was somehow a systemic fungus about to kill her tree. We will treat by removing the galls or ignoring them.
