Found in well-watered lawn. Conical cap, umbonate, dark brown center, lighter brown sides. Growing in what will be a cespitose group. White rhizimes at base of stipe; light brown gills.


In situ.
Centrally conical, dark brown cap, with light brown streaks on rest of cap.
Silky sheen on stipe. Stipe is 5 inches long.
Very slight enlarged base, fusing with another small sporocarp.
Gills are light brown. Taken in full sun, which washes the color oiut.

Microscopy would help with this one

Almost looks like Inocybe, but the gills do not look right for that genus, and Inocybes would not be in a cespitose group. I also considered Leratiomyces, Stropharia and Agrocybe, however none of those fit very well.
