Observation 145199: Pleurotus populinus O. Hilber & O.K. Mill.

When: 2013-09-10

Collection location: north-central West Virginia, West Virginia, USA [Click for map]

Who: Aaron (CatFighter)

No specimen available

Found on pile of old poplar logs.

they did NOT smell like anise, or oysters.

I’m curious if there are any poisonous look-alikes because I’m nearly positive it’s an oyster mushroom.

no spore print; sorry.

It was found on poplar and it’s definitely still summer here. I bet it is populinus!
