On ground in moss under balsam fir in mixed woods. Cap 18 mm., convex, sticky, pale brown, yellow flesh. Pores brick color, angular, depressed at stem. Stem color of cap, 45 cm. × 7 mm., darker fibers, bright yellow flesh. Peppery taste. Red brown spore deposit.
