On ground in grass in disturbed area under red oak. Cap 10 cm., buff, rough, dry, bruising blue. Pale yellow pores, depressed, bruising blue. Tubes up to 10 mm., bruising blue. Stem pale yellow, 8 cm. × 2cm.at apex and 4 cm. at base, bruising blue. Flesh of cap and stem instantly bruising dark blue when cut.
