Solitary specimen on ground in mixed woods that include spruce and hemlock. Cap 5 cm., cream with pinkish cast over disc, sharp umbo, dry, fibrous. Gills color of cap, free to notched. Stem color of cap (looks darker in photos), 5 cm. × 6 mm., paler and scurfy at apex. Mild taste. No distinctive odor. No bruising/staining. Brown spore deposit.
