Observation 145347: Inocybe tahquamenonensis D.E. Stuntz

When: 2013-09-07

Collection location: Mountain Lake Conservancy, Giles Co., Virginia, USA [Click for map]

Who: Willow Nero (wbnero)

Specimen available

Black-brown-purple colored small mushroom growing in a mixed forest. Has a lot of “furriness” to the cap and stalk. Gills almost look serrated. Pretty hard to see in the underbrush. Looked like it would rain dark spores all over you. (Not photographed on original substrate.)
