Observation 145392: Leccinum Gray

Flesh bruises pink, then purplish and finally progressive grayer to dark gray
Nearby trees are Mountain Hemlock and Silver Fir with occasional Lodgepole and Western White Pine.

Recognized by sight: I used to call this L.auratiacum as it seemed to have all the features specified by Smith and Thiers except for the Pine & Aspen habitat. I have no idea what to call it post Den Bakker..
