On ground in mixed woods. Cap 60 mm., gray brown with gray brown patches. Gills crowded, whitish, free. Stem whitish, 72 mm. × 10 mm. midheight, tapering at apex with fine striations above gray annulus and gray fibers below. Bulb 25 mm. wide x 20 mm. high.
