Notes: On mossy ground under white cedar, balsam fir and birch in mixed woods. cap up to 8 cm., brown to orange brown. Pores whitish, small. Tubes yellow. Stem up to 8 cm. × 2.5 to 4cm at base. White netting top portion of stem. Cap flesh turning red brown under cuticle when cut. Cap surface turning orange with green perimeter with KOH.
