Observation 145505: Amanita Pers. sect. Amanita
When: 2013-09-15
(19.8487° -104.4602° 2209m)

Notes: Under mixed oak and pine, in a ravine. Perhaps the same species as http://mushroomobserver.org/145502

Found right next to 2 red/yellow members of Amanita section Caesareae. I left them there overnight, thinking they would be fine. This collection was fine – Untouched. The two members of Amanita section Caesareae both had their caps stolen and mostly eaten by rodents. They appear to prefer the Amanitas without Ibotenic acid.
