Observation 145581: Entoloma lividoalbum (Kühner & Romagn.) Kubička

Notes: On ground under beech, red maple, red pine in mixed woods. Cap up to 5 cm., yellow tan, convex, inrolled margin, darker over disc, thin pallid flesh. Gills whitish, attached. Stem whitish, 6 cm. × 1-2 cm., swollen base,stuffed. Mealy odor and taste. Pink spore deposit.

Described on www.mushroomexpert.com as western Entoloma sp. that is fond of hardwoods but Raymond McNeil and others have found it in Quebec, less than 200 miles from here and a very similar habitat.
