On mossy ground under balsam fir in mixed woods. Red brown moist cap, 6 cm. Gills pallid, free to notched, red brown stained. Stem swollen at base. Mild odor and taste.

I got a white spore print

overnight and picked up a mealy odor and taste as well. KOH on the cap turned red brown. T. fulvum looks promising. Thanks Irene.
