This was because of the veil remnants on the cap. They didn’t resemeble the usual pattern but it didn;t really occur to me at the time that it might be because it’s immature. The cap is also one of the greener ones (by itself it wouldn’t have influenced my decision). Apart from that i was sure it was A. rubescens.

this one seems as though it will expand to be more gracile than the mushroom in the first observation. I noticed you didn’t classify this right away as rubescens. This suggests to me that you also detect some differences between the two collections.
