Recognized by sight: found on tombstones near coast of Maine—this obs about 7 miles from coast. Some references suggest it is more common on the east coast while X. elegans is more common in the west

I don’t see any apothecia(!) Could this be Caloplaca verruculifera? Does that even occur in the east??
