Observation 146082: Scleroderma cepa group

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Under Douglas-fir, but Lodgepole pine needles have been blown in. Sporocarp about 2 inches wide.


In situ.
Long, sterile root-like structure, with rhizomorphs at bottom. Almost as tall as it is wide.
Bisected. Note thin peridium on side, thick pedecle base, not staining.
Gleba gray. White areas may be parasitized.
