I don’t have anything against C.rachodes, just setting the record strait.

Not this time of year

C. molybdites fruits in the northern states only in the hot days in summer. Also the distribution of the scales on the cap is different in C. molybdites.

I won’t argue about spores at all, until I get my sh!% together regarding the issue

…bet that this had white spores. Just look at those mature gills and its probably way too cold in your area for C. molybdites anyways.

I’ve had some dereliction of duty this season

When I had my spore prints mislaid – there were so many of them since I started obtaining them from all my finds. I’ve got to come up with better system for the limited room I have. Meanwhile, I might be mistaken about spore print color for this one, so if someone is pretty sure visually – go ahead and name it. It grew under few young pines in the middle of the open field in city park.

After I created this observation, I realized my notes show brown spores for this one, making it ineligible for the name C.rachodes. At this point I accept names from the floor, so to speak.
