Spores are hyaline, oval (pear shaped), smooth
Gills are free

Recognized by sight: Going on appearance of gills and color of spore print – maybe this was in rain for a day or two before the photo. On the other hand, I don’t see evidence for violet spores in the photo. The gills near the lens look like they could have rusty-orange tint – indicating pholiota?

Spore print was obtained overnight on white paper. We had fog/light rain in the morning before the pictures were taken,
