No herbarium specimen

Notes: Very fresh, young specimens. Found in moss, beneath Douglas fir, Western hemlock and vine maple trees.
Understory- Oregon grape, Salal and red huckleberry bushes.

Caps- slightly purplish hue on cap edge and on flocking. Stems with slight greenish hue at base after handling. Very dense, small specimens(caps 7-8cm wide).

Elevation: 1400ft.

Temp: Mid 50’s.
