Found near these guys -large slimey orange and smaller copper colored; one can see the specimen in question in the background.

Proposed Names

Used references: Arora’s Mushrooms Demystified. Had to look pretty closely, but the clincher was a dead pine branch in the background. BTW, the orange slimy things are probably Suillus.

Recognized by sight: Can look macroscopically identical to C. vinicolor and C. rutilus (which doesn’t appear to occur in the US).

However, since Alan has voted ‘As If!" for some reason for the genus name it can’t get labelled correctly.
