No herbarium specimen

Notes: Firm, 1.5 in height and width, lactating immediately upon cut, latex white and not browning. latex not bitter. Found next to a trail, leaf litter.

Hey Martin,

Ya I’ll be there this weekend. You’re right I thought it was just bruising of the gills but I guess the latex could have turned the gills brown, I didn’t look at it too long. I usually take photos in the field but I was hiking with my eccentric dog this time that would not stop long enough to even take my phone out so I decided to collect then document later. See you this weekend.

Are you in Florida? Will you be in Sequanota this weekend? You assertion that the latex does not turn brown appears contradicted by the brown stains on the gills. I know that could be just the gills but…, Take a photo before you pick it when you can…, Hope to see you this weekend.
