Observation 146518: Sparassis radicata Weir

Found at base of 4’ diameter Douglas-fir, obscurred somewhat by Golden chinkapin. Thought it was a large Ramaria botrytis at first. Pleasantly surprised.

At base of Douglas-fir and Golden chinquapin.
About a 10 pound specimen.
Cap flesh-colored to a little rosey, white stems underneath. Small: WONDERFUL!
