of “Mycena” luteopallens turned out to be a Hygrocybe species growing off of a walnut shell, and not a Mycena at all. So a new name was needed for this common little Mycena on walnut shells, hence the name M. crocea.

Otherwise I am totally confused. It was Hygrocybe but was called Mycena luteopallens? What is it now? Amanita virosa? :-)
