Notes: Red caps that peal relatively easy; bitter hot, spitting mad. One on ground, another on well decayed wood in riparian section on mixed woods. I understand that this “group” can grow on wood in wet area as well as on the top of our small moutains in Pennsylvania. The ones I have found on wood in moutainous area I called R silvicola, and ones in low, wet areas I termed R. emetica, but it seems that I need to learn the russula groups. Lots of work to be done.
