A participant in a foray just handed these to me. I was explaining something to someone else, and just put these mushrooms away. I agree that the gills don’t look right for Tricholomopsis. But the spore print I got overnight was white. Spores are subglobose to broadly elliptic. I hope to post a photo later.

Looks like the gills had been attached and have pulled away from the stipe.

what was the habitat/substrate for this observation?
the gill color and attachment do not look right for Tricholomopsis.
did you happen to get a print??
