In grass under maple by roadway. Clustered. Cap up to 5 cm., gray brown, thin flesh, deliquescing. Gills broad, free. Stem up to 10 cm. × 7 mm., hollow. Black spore deposit.

these had a few scales over the disc but didn’t seem particularly scaly as in C.romagnesiana.
