In grass under hardwoods and conifers. Cap up to 7 cm., yellow brown, smooth. Yellow brown angular pores. Stem 4 cm. × 1 cm., reddish brown with dots at top. Thick white flesh in cap that is yellow near the pores, Stem flesh pallid turning reddish when cut. No partial veil. Sticky when wet.
