Observation 14726: Agrocybe dura (Bolton) Singer

Notes: Characteristic of Agrocybe Praecox group. Found after heavy rain in cultivated soil. 1-1/2" to 2" caps mostly dry, cracked, creamy to off-white; gills dull brown, adnexed to notched; stalk dingy white, with brown spore dusting and tapering from 1/2" at top to 3/4" at bottom, brown and stringy inside, no veil. Spore print brighter brown than gills. No particular odor. These were the only examples found in the area.
