Observation 14730: Gloeophyllum saepiarium
When: 2008-11-29
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Arora states this has rusty-brown gills, but this is misleading, at least for my specimen. This had bright white gills when fresh, but turned instantly rusty-brown after handling. The bruising reaction was so quick that I couldn’t catch it on film, although I tried. By the time my fingernail left the spore-bearing surface, it had already changed color.
