Observation 147514: Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca (Wulfen) Maire
When: 2013-10-06
No herbarium specimen

Notes: A single specimen found, not collected. Thought this might be Hygrophoropsis olida, but too colorful. 1.5cm across cap, 2cm tall. Gills seem to be growing together, then apart: atypical for Hygrophoropsis. Other suggestions?

Must be very small, then.

Arora says H.a. is 2-8(14) cm wide. Also, the gills not forked dichotomously (at least, to my eye). I suppose that could be just that this is old and waterlogged.
