Some close up pictures of what I found yesterday. I was taking spore prints and wanted to post some close up photos for reference.
I found this under a large spruce tree in a group of probably 30 others. It was in an open area and within a few hundred feet of a busy road.
The sun exposure being in the open would explain the larger flat cap that is pale yellow.
Being in a residential location with more emission/less vegetation, there is heavier co2 so the longer stem is explained vs forest or meadow observations.
The heavy rain the day prior would help contribute to the overall look.
