Alan, was there an annulus?? It looks like there is in the last photo, but I’m thinking maybe you pinched off the cap of a smaller mushroom that stuck to the stipe? Because I can not see any annulus in the photo of the patch.

Looks like Mycena doesn’t it?

Like a Mycena oregonensis, small a yellow-orange on pine needles. I need to look up if there are other yellow-orange Mycenas.
