Giant Mushroom found near Hassan in Karnataka, India

A medical professional Dr Devadas of Hassan, in Karnataka, India was driving back to his home town from Arkalgud.

On the way he discovered a giant mushroom, which was 18 inches tall, having a girth of 20 inches.

Dr Devadas is now planning on preserving the fungus at his clinic in Hassan.

Oregon’s ‘monster mushroom’ is considered the world’s biggest living thing, popularly also known as the ‘honey mushroom.’

The outline of this giant fungus stretches 3.5 miles (5.6 kms) across, and it extends on an average of three feet (one metre) into the ground.
