Found in mixed conifer forest.
Ok, I wouldn’t have id’ed this one, and I wouldn’t have believed this id either, if it wasn’t for that fact that I was talking with the guy that wrote the book. I would have gone with a more common id, like M. coplandii perhaps. But he pointed out the wider spaced gills. Said this is a rather rare mushroom, and hasn’t been found in awhile.
