Observation 147920: Boletus chippewaensis A.H. Sm. & Thiers

Notes: Found in cultivated mixed spruce-white pine stands, though particularly associated with spruce. Considerable variation in cap color, degree of reticulation (some appeared to have almost none), and some reddish-purple discoloration in the context tissue. Macrochemical tests and gustatory qualities confirmed placement in the B. edulis complex.

KOH = quick orange w/ purple outline
NH4 = slow and slight orange with purple outline
